Cloud-Based File Storage System

Instead of saving things to your desktop or computer, I suggest using a cloud-based file storage system like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive where you can easily save and share files. You can access these files from anywhere, use the apps on your phone, and easily share these files and documents with collaborators.

If you decide to use one of these systems, I highly suggest you define exactly how you plan to use each. For example, our team tends to use Google Docs for documents and Dropbox for photos. It’s also crucial to keep these storage systems organized—otherwise, they start to resemble messy inboxes. Whenever you are done with a document and don’t need to save it, delete it. Whenever you upload something, be sure to name it clearly and put it in the proper folder. If you decide to upload personal photos to this system, make sure they aren’t shared with your team. Also, if you have clients with an “I want to know everything” mentality, you can share your docs or photos with them directly and they can see updates in real time.
